Ridge Top
Engraving was started by Holly Hageman in 2004. After many years of working for other companies, Holly
decided to take her artistic and creative talents and
start a business she could pursue with passion.
Her childhood was largely responsible for the name of
the business as well as her love of working with stones. Her
parents bought a forty acre ‘ridge top’ in 1955 where her
father fulfilled a lifetime dream of his. Holly’s father, a
research chemist, and her mother a medical technologist, built
a home largely comprised of stone work. This was an endeavor
that took twenty two years to complete.
She grew up helping her father while he built the house. His
love of stones and his creative visions somehow “Got in her
blood”. She currently resides in that house which continues to
inspire her.
Today
it has become a passion spending endless time looking
for stones and studying them to find just the right
stone for the image to be engraved. She often looks for
the "defects, flaws and contours” in a stone to use in
unique and creative projects.
Holly says her main goal with her business is to make
sure every customer is completely happy, so far it has
been one hundred percent, she intends to keep it that
way.
